EURASIP Publications: New EIC for Speech Communication |
|
On 1 April 2018, Frédéric Bimbot becomes the new EIC of "Speech
Communication", the EURASIP-sponsored journal published by Elsevier and
co-sponsored by ISCA, the International Speech Communication
Association. Frédéric takes over from Bernd Moebius, who was in this
position since 2013.
EURASIP would like to take the opportunity to thank Bernd for his great
efforts in leading the journal and maintaining it as one of the top
journals in its scientific area.
Frédéric Bimbot is a senior researcher at IRISA in Rennes, France, where
he heads the METISS research group on speech and audio processing since
2002. After receiving his PhD in 1988, he joined CNRS as a permanent
researcher, working with ENST-Paris and with IRISA-Rennes. He also
repeatedly visited AT&T Bell Laboratories between 1990 and 1999. His
research is focused on audio signal analysis, speech modeling, speaker
characterization and audio source separation.
