EURASIP BoD Elections |
Reminder: EURASIP Board of Directors elections 2020 - voting system closes on Friday
EURASIP is managed by a Board of Directors that is elected by the members. The EURASIP General Assembly confirms the election results and appointments.
All elected Board members serve a three-year term, renewable once.
On December 31st, 2020, three current Board members will end their term: Kostas Berberidis (1st term), Alle-Jan van der Veen (2nd term) and Toon van Waterschoot (1st term).
The biographies of the candidates that appear on the 2020 election ballot can be found here.
An electronic procedure will be used to collect votes and the results will be announced in the newsletter and during the Opening Ceremony of EUSIPCO 2020 in
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on Tuesday morning January 19th 2021.
Electronic voting started on Monday August 17th, 2020 and ends on Friday September 18th, 2020. To cast their votes,
EURASIP members are invited to visit the membership server, log in and follow the link to “Elections 2020”. Each voter casts exactly four weighted votes, with weights 4 (1st choice), 3 (2nd choice), 2 (3rd choice), and 1 (4th choice) respectively.
When votes are properly registered, a confirmation e-mail is sent to the address in the membership profile.
Electronic voting takes place in a manner that preserves voter anonymity. Questions related to the voting procedure may be sent to
membership@eurasip.org.

Call for PhD Thesis Submission &
Best PhD Thesis Award |
The European Association for Signal Processing created and maintains a database of PhD manuscripts
at http://theses.eurasip.org
which is one of the world's largest in the area of signal processing.
The database interface also shows download statistics and publishes regularly the 10 top downloaded theses.
Every year a committee of experts nominated by the EURASIP Board of Directors selects up to three theses related to different areas of signal processing to be awarded ‘Best PhD Thesis’ awards.
The selection process is based on the evaluation of the impact of the theses, their subsequent journal and conference publications and related citations received,
and on the review reports of independent reviewers as well as on the download and citation statistics.
In order to select the 2021 best PhD theses, the temporal window of the years 2016 through 2018 is considered. The awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony at EUSIPCO 2021.
Each award consists of a certificate and of a travelling & accommodation reimbursement of 1K Euros for attending the Awards Ceremony.
If you want to make your PhD thesis available in the EURASIP database, visit the site http://theses.eurasip.org and upload your thesis.
