President's message
I greatly appreciate the opportunity to write to the Association at this time, as we approach first the summer period and thereafter EUSIPCO 2021.

Registration for EUSIPCO 2021 is now open. I’ve just completed my registration and warmly invite you also to do so at 2021.eusipco.org. EUSIPCO 2021 will be a fully online conference following the successful pattern of EUSIPCO 2020, with lower-cost registration available for registering without a paper and for students. Let me take this moment to thank the Organizing Committee of EUSIPCO 2021 for all their excellent preparation work over the recent months and years that will bring us another great edition of our flagship conference. Sadly, we will not be able to enjoy the famous welcoming smile of Dublin and the normal face-to-face activities while the pandemic is still with us. Even so, I know the EUSIPCO experience will still be fulfilling, fruitful and fun. Next year, it is planned that EUSIPCO 2022 will be in Belgrade with face-to-face participation, subject to safety guidelines.

This year, EURASIP has automatically extended, free of charge, any membership purchased when registering for EUSIPCO 2020. This means that if you attended EUSIPCO 2020, you can register for EUSIPCO 2021 by clicking the ‘EURASIP Member’ registration button to benefit from a discounted registration price representing a free year of membership. This free membership is a small but heartfelt gesture of thanks to EURASIP members for their continued and highly appreciated support of the Association during the pandemic. Your membership benefits are wide-ranging and valuable. Please take a look at
www.eurasip.org for full details.

EURASIP continues to innovate with both outward-looking and internal initiatives. The Association’s Technical Area Board is now well established, as are the Technical Area Committees, and it is playing an increasingly important role in the Association’s technical activity programmes. We expect soon to launch an exciting, updated website to support a broader range of services and activities for members. EURASIP seasonal schools are continuing, and financial sponsorship is available on application, as are our workshops and seminars. Please see the website for more details.

Thank you once again for your participation and engagement with EURASIP. The Association is run by volunteers and is a not-for-profit organization. We, therefore, rely on the enthusiasm and energies of the members like you. Please feel encouraged to get involved in activities, nominate awardees, organize a future EUSIPCO or a seasonal school, or contributing towards whatever and wherever your enthusiasm leads you.

Should you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any Association representative.

I very much look forward to the chance of welcoming many of you to EUSIPCO 2021.

With best regards,
Patrick A. Naylor
President, EURASIP
