Announcement: 2022 Society Awards
The European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) congratulates the following colleagues who will receive the Society's prestigious awards. The awards will be presented at EUSIPCO 2022, which will be held in Belgrade (Serbia) from the 29th of August till 2nd September 2022.

The Early Career Award is awarded to an outstanding researcher and engineer working within the technical scope of EURASIP at an early or mid-stage of his/her career, whose current work shows not only significant scientific achievements but also high potential to advance scientific knowledge through novel, timely and significant endeavors.
This year’s recipients are Yoann Altmann, "For contributions to statistical inference in multidimensional and low-photon image analysis" and
Paolo Di Lorenzo, “For contributions to the field of distributed signal processing, optimization, and learning over networks”.

The Technical Achievement Award honors a person who, over a period of years, has made outstanding technical contributions to theory or practice in technical areas within the scope of the Society, as demonstrated by publications, patents, or recognized impact in this field.
This year’s recipient is Nikos Sidiropoulos, “For contributions to tensor decomposition, beamforming, and spectral analysis”.

The Group Technical Achievement Award is given to the head of a group in academia or industry that has achieved significant contributions in signal processing and related areas over a number of years.
This year’s recipient is Sharon Gannot, “For contributions to theory and practice of microphone array signal processing and statistical learning in speech enhancement through extensive activities of his research group”.

The Meritorious Service Award is given to recognize individuals who have given distinguished service to the Society in the form of significant contributions to the development of EURASIP, distinguished service to the advancement and pursuit of the technical objectives of EURASIP, or active cooperation in actions supported or sponsored by EURASIP.
This year’s recipient is Frédéric Dufaux, “For his leadership and contributions for the development of visual information processing within EURASIP”.

EURASIP Awards: Call for Fellow Nominations

EURASIP Fellow nominations are invited with a deadline of October 31, 2022.

The EURASIP fellowship programme recognizes outstanding achievements of its members and volunteers. Each year, a select group of up to four signal processing researchers are elevated to EURASIP Fellow, the Association's most prestigious honour. Fellowships are awarded with a citation of the form “for contributions to …”, i.e. referring to a major long-term contribution to a technical field.

How to Submit Nominations

Any EURASIP member can nominate a colleague to be elevated to Fellow grade. Nominations should be submitted to the EURASIP Director for Awards by e-mail (

The nomination form can be downloaded from the EURASIP website at Fellowship-Nomination-Form.
The deadline is October 31st of every year.

The Board of Directors encourages you to share this information with your colleagues.
