EURASIP created and maintains a database of PhD theses at http://theses.eurasip.org, which is one of the World's largest in the area of signal processing. The database also keeps track of monthly downloads.

Every year a committee of experts, nominated by the EURASIP Board of Directors, selects up to three theses related to different areas of signal processing to be awarded. The selection process is based on the evaluation of the impact of the theses, their subsequent journal and conference publications and related citations received, on the download statistics as well as on the review reports of independent reviewers.

The 2023 winner is:

Christopher Mollén, “High-End Performance with Low-End Hardware: Analysis of Massive MIMO Base Station Transceivers”, supervised by Erik G. Larsson and Thomas Eriksson (Linköpings University, Sweden, 2018).

On behalf of the EURASIP Board of Directors, we would like to congratulate the winner.

EURASIP invites proposals from potential organisers for the European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO 2027 and beyond) to be held in late August/early September. EUSIPCO is sponsored by the EURASIP, founded on September 1, 1978, to “improve communication between groups and individuals that work within the multidisciplinary, fast-growing field of Signal Processing in Europe and elsewhere, and to exchange and disseminate information in the field all over the world”.

EUSIPCO is a learned and professional platform for dissemination and discussion of all aspects of signal processing. It features plenaries, tutorials, lectures and poster sessions, as well as an exhibition, and can host additional satellite events.

Proposals should include the following preliminary information:

  • Proposed dates in 2027 (or later);
  • Organizing committee members, including biographic information;
  • A budget, which includes anticipated financial and in-kind support;
  • Information about the location and what it has to offer.

Proposals are warmly invited and should be submitted to the EURASIP Director for Conferences and Workshops Augusto Sarti.
