The European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) congratulates the following colleagues who will receive the Society's prestigious awards. The awards will be presented at the Opening and Awards Ceremony at EUSIPCO 2025, which will be held in Isola delle Femmine, Sicily (Italy), 8-12 September 2025.

The Early Career Award is awarded to an outstanding researcher and engineer working within the technical scope of EURASIP at an early or mid-stage of his/her career, whose current work shows not only significant scientific achievements but also high potential to advance scientific knowledge through novel, timely and significant endeavors.
This year’s recipients are: Émilie Chouzenoux, "For exceptional contributions to optimization for signal and image processing with successful application to medical imaging “ and Santiago Segarra, "For contributions to graph signal processing and graph-based machine learning".

The Technical Achievement Award honors a person who, over a period of years, has made outstanding technical contributions to theory or practice in technical areas within the scope of the Society, as demonstrated by publications, patents, or recognized impact in this field.
This year’s recipient is Tuomas Virtanen, "For seminal contributions to sound source separation and to sound event detection and classification".

The Group Technical Achievement Award is given to the head of a group in academia or industry that has achieved significant contributions in signal processing and related areas over a number of years.
This year’s recipient is Michael Davies, "For contributions to compressed sensing and defence signal processing”.

The Meritorious Service Award is given to recognize individuals who have given distinguished service to the Society in the form of significant contributions to the development of EURASIP, distinguished service to the advancement and pursuit of the technical objectives of EURASIP, or active cooperation in actions supported or sponsored by EURASIP.
This year’s recipient is Cédric Richard, "For outstanding leadership and contributions as Chair and Technical Chair of Signal Processing Conferences and Editor-in-Chief of Signal Processing (Elsevier)”.

The Athanasios Papoulis Award is given to honor scientists whose work has had a major impact on various aspects of signal processing education.
This year’s recipient is Martin Vetterli, "For outstanding contributions to research and teaching of signal processing and wavelets".

EURASIP invites proposals from potential organisers for the European Signal Processing Conference to be held in late August/early September. With the venues for the 2025-27 editions of the conference now officially confirmed, proposals are being solicited for editions beyond 2027.

EUSIPCO is a learned and professional platform for dissemination and discussion of all aspects of signal processing. It features plenaries, tutorials, lectures and poster sessions, as well as an exhibition, and can host additional satellite events. EUSIPCO is sponsored by EURASIP and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society. Each edition is ran by a distinct organizing committee consisting of an international group of scholars that are well connected to EURASIP, normally with the support of a professional conference organizer (PCO).

Potential organizers are invited to submit to conferences@eurasip.org a report containing the following information:

  • Proposed dates;
  • Key organizing committee members, including biographic information;
  • Tentative budget, which includes anticipated financial and in-kind support;
  • Information about the location and what it has to offer.

Deadline: 30 June 2025.
