I wish to inform you that, with our contract with Springer approaching its renewal at the end of 2025, the EURASIP Board of Directors has decided not to continue the collaboration on the EURASIP Open Access Journals.

Historically, Springer provided EURASIP with a 5% royalty on Open Access charges for six (and more recently five) journals. These funds allowed us to reinvest directly in our community through summer school support, student travel grants to EUSIPCO, student prizes, and webinars. In the proposed renewal, however, Springer indicated that royalties would be reduced to 0% (non-negotiable) and additionally requested the removal of one of the Editors-in-Chief. The EURASIP Board found neither of these conditions acceptable.

As a result, from 2026 onward, EURASIP will no longer sponsor the Springer journals.
We look forward to sharing our future plans and new initiatives with you at EUSIPCO 2026 in Bruges.

The EUSIPCO 2026 Organizing Committee invites submissions of high-quality technical contributions to the 34th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO 2026).

We welcome two types of submissions:

Regular Conference Papers
Original, unpublished research papers will undergo peer review and, if accepted, will be published in the EUSIPCO 2026 proceedings.

Journal Papers for Presentation
Authors of papers recently accepted or published in EURASIP or IEEE Signal Processing Society journals are encouraged to submit them for inclusion in the conference program. These papers will not be peer-reviewed again and will not appear in the conference proceedings, but will be selected for presentation based on relevance and fit. The list of eligible journals is available on the EUSIPCO 2026 website.

Key Deadlines
Conference Paper Submission: 6 February 2026
Journal Paper Submission (for presentation): 30 April 2026

This is a reminder that the call for nominations for the EURASIP Society Awards is still open, with the deadline now extended to January 21.
The EURASIP Society Awards recognize outstanding contributions and service to the signal processing community.

• Meritorious Service Award
• Athanasios Papoulis Award
• Early Career Award
