Newsletter – Vol. 37, January 2026

The deadline for the submission of Conference Papers to EUSIPCO 2026 has been extended by one week. The new submission deadline is 13 February 2026, 23:59 AoE.
No further extension will be granted.

Papers need to be submitted through the online Conference Management System (CMS).

We welcome two types of submissions:

Regular Conference Papers
Original, unpublished research papers will undergo peer review and, if accepted, will be published in the EUSIPCO 2026 proceedings.

Journal Papers for Presentation
Authors of papers recently accepted or published in EURASIP or IEEE Signal Processing Society journals are encouraged to submit them for inclusion in the conference program. These papers will not be peer-reviewed again and will not appear in the conference proceedings, but will be selected for presentation based on relevance and fit. The list of eligible journals is available on the EUSIPCO 2026 website.

Key Deadlines
Conference Paper Submission: 13 February 2026
Journal Paper Submission (for presentation): 30 April 2026

The European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) invites nominations for the EURASIP Best PhD Thesis Awards.

Each year, a committee of experts appointed by the EURASIP Board of Directors selects up to three outstanding PhD theses covering different areas of signal processing. The awards recognise theses that demonstrate scientific excellence, originality, and impact, as evidenced by subsequent journal and conference publications, citation records, and independent expert reviews.

For the 2026 Best PhD Thesis Awards, eligible theses must have been defended between 2021 and 2023. The awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony at EUSIPCO 2026.

Each award consists of:

  • an official EURASIP certificate
  • a travel and accommodation reimbursement of up to 1,000 EUR to attend the ceremony.

For additional information on the scope and criteria for these awards, please visit the EURASIP website.

We strongly encourage supervisors, colleagues, and institutions to nominate excellent PhD theses and help bring outstanding early-career research to the attention of the wider signal processing community.

To submit a nomination, please complete the nomination form and send it to awards@eurasip.org by 28 February 2026.
