EURASIP Publications: New EiC for EURASIP Journal on Information Security
|
|
Dr. Zekeriya Erkin has started his term as EIC of "EURASIP Journal on Information Security" since the beginning of this year. Zekeriya took over from Fernando Pérez-González who was in this position for more than five years.
EURASIP would like to take the opportunity to thank Fernando for his great efforts in leading the journal.
|
Zekeriya Erkin is an associate professor in the Cyber Security Group at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He received his PhD degree on “Secure Signal Processing” in 2010 from Delft University of Technology where he has continued his research on Privacy Enhancing Technologies, particularly on Computational Privacy. Zekeriya Erkin has been involved in several European and national projects, serving in numerous committees including IEEE Information Forensics and Security and acting as an associate editor for IEEE Open Journal on Signal Processing. Also, Zekeriya has previously served as an Associate Editor of JINS and as member of the EURASIP Technical Area Committee "Biometrics, Data Forencics, and Security".

Formation of EURASIP Student committee
|
EURASIP is pleased to announce the formation of a Student committee created to foster student participation in EURASIP activities such as EURASIP sponsored conferences (e.g. EUSIPCO), competitors (e.g. 3MT Thesis competition) and to organise seminars for students. Dr Paolo di Lorenzi of Sapienza University of Rome and Dr Yoann Altmann of Heriot Watt University are the first chairs of the committee. Paolo and Yoann were winners of the EURASIP Early Career Award in 2022.
Full details on the committee can be found at the EURASIP website.

EURASIP Membership Renewal
|
Since 2022 EURASIP has developed a new membership model and associated database that provides each member with complete control of their membership records.
Each membership year will start in April and run until the end of March. A 3-month grace period will be automatically activated for those members who have not renewed their membership before the end of March, such that membership benefits will remain accessible until the end of June.
We expect that, as before, most EURASIP members will renew their membership as part of their registration for the annual European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO). However, membership renewal also remains possible directly through the EURASIP Membership Portal or by registering for one of the EURASIP-sponsored Seasonal Schools. Those members who have already renewed their annual membership prior to registering for EUSIPCO will receive a discount on their EUSIPCO registration fee.
Those EURASIP Members who decide not to renew their membership will see that their membership status is changed to “Associate Member” after the end of the 3-month grace period. They will keep their account in the EURASIP membership database and will continue receiving the EURASIP Newsletter and EURASIP Announcements (unless they decide to opt out), but will not be able to continue enjoying other EURASIP membership benefits until they renew their membership again.
Both EURASIP Members and EURASIP Associate Members have complete control of their membership records at all times, including the possibility to modify or permanently remove their account in the EURASIP membership database.
Please visit our renewed Membership Portal to check your membership status and to renew your membership if you do not plan to register to EUSIPCO.
