After two terms of serving as its Editor-in-Chief, Geert Leus has recently stepped down. He has been succeeded by Cédric Ricard.

On behalf of EURASIP and Elsevier, we express our gratitude to Geert for his tremendous service to the journal over the past 6 years. Many individual members of the Editorial Board have expressed their gratitude to Geert; we are sure he will be missed! Under his leadership the Signal Processing journal maintained it high reputation as the flagship journal of EURASIP and one of the top journals in Signal Processing areas worldwide.

Cédric Ricard is Full Professor at Université Côte d'Azur, France. He has also been the Director of the French federative CNRS research association ISIS (Information, Signal, Image, Vision) in 2019-2023. His research interests include statistical signal processing and machine learning. Cédric Ricard has served the community in many ways so far (Associate Editor of top journals, OC member of major conferences, member of Technical Committees, etc).

EURASIP is very happy that Cédric has accepted to become the new EIC, and wish him all the best in taking up this new responsibility.
