EURASIP Awards: Announcement Best PhD Awards
|
EURASIP created and maintains a database of
PhD theses at http://theses.eurasip.org,
which is one of the World's largest in the
area of signal processing. The database also
keeps track of monthly downloads.
Every year a committee of experts, nominated
by the EURASIP Board of Directors, selects up to three
theses related to different areas of signal
processing to be awarded. The selection
process is based on the evaluation of the
impact of the theses, their subsequent
journal and conference publications and
related citations received, on the download
statistics as well as on the review reports
of independent reviewers.
The 2024 winner is:
Stefan Vlaski, “Distributed Stochastic Optimization in Non-Differentiable and Non-Convex Environments”, UCLA
Supervisor: Ali H. Sayed
On behalf of the EURASIP Board of Directors,
we would like to congratulate the winner.

EURASIP Awards: 1st Call Fellow Nominations (deadline Oct 31)
|
EURASIP Fellow nominations are invited with a deadline of October 31, 2024.
The EURASIP fellowship programme recognizes outstanding achievements of its members and volunteers. Each year, a select group of up to four signal processing researchers are elevated to EURASIP Fellow,
the Association's most prestigious honour. Fellowships are awarded with a citation of the form “for contributions to …”, i.e. referring to a major long-term contribution to a technical field.
How to Submit Nominations
Any EURASIP member can nominate a colleague to be elevated to Fellow grade. Nominations should be submitted to the EURASIP Director for Awards by e-mail (awards@eurasip.org).
The nomination form can be downloaded from the EURASIP website at Fellowship-Nomination-Form.
The deadline is October 31st of every year.
The Board of Directors encourages you to share this information with your colleagues.

Call for Proposals for the 36th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO 2028) and beyond.
|
EURASIP invites proposals from potential organisers for the European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO 2028 and beyond) to be held in late August/early September. EUSIPCO is a learned and professional platform for dissemination and discussion of all aspects of signal processing. It features plenaries, tutorials, lectures and poster sessions, as well as an exhibition, and can host additional satellite events.
EUSIPCO is sponsored by EURASIP and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society. Each edition is ran by a distinct organizing committee consisting of an international group of scholars that are well connected to EURASIP, normally with the support of a professional conference organizer (PCO).
- Proposed dates in 2028 (or later);
- Key organizing committee members, including biographic information;
- Tentative budget, which includes anticipated financial and in-kind support;
- Information about the location and what it has to offer.
